WEDA EL-FI DCM
Supervising and Controlling WEDA Submersible Pumps
The WEDA EL-FI DCM
(Drainage Control Monitor) supervise and control submersible
pumps in 1 or 2-pump systems. The monitor prevents dry
running.
Advantages
- Uses the
motor as a sensor
- Eliminates
most water-level detectors
- Prolongs pump life
- Reduces
energy consumption
- Handle 1 or
2-pump systems
Uses the motor as a sensor
The EL-FI DCM measures the input power to the pump
motor. This gives a reliable measurement on the motor
load. The pump is stopped when the load decreases, that
is, when the pump begins to draw air. The pump runs are
timed to calculate the length of the pause periods. The
longer the pump run, the shorter pause periods. The pump
runs and pause periods are constantly adjusted to the
flow into the pump. This technology minimizes the need
for water-level detectors.
Prolongs pump life
By optimizing the run and pause periods are component
wear and tear, the need for spare parts and energy
consumption dramatically reduced.
Handle 1 or 2-pump systems
Two EL-FI DCM units are used to control, monitor and
protect submersible pumps that run alternately. The two
pumps have individual presentation of pump run,
remaining pause time, total pump time, number of pump
starts and measured topp effect on the pump motor.
For one pump is one EL-FI DCM used.
It is also possible to connect a high-level detector to
prevent overflow of a waterworks tank.
Other Benefits
- Cleans the
waterworks tank
- Prevent dry
running
Possible Applications:
Building sites
Quarries
Mines
Water treatment plants
Pump stations
and many more...
